Programme of the internship

In the first week, you will be introduced to the country, the district and the city of Jinja. You will learn a lot about Ugandan culture and the living conditions of the people. Your first practical assignment will also take place during this week. The first assignment is often at the Nile International Hospital in Jinja.

In weeks 2-4, you change your placement location every week. You will spend one week at a home for children with multiple disabilities, one week at our cooperation partner Soft-Power, which provides general medical care in the surrounding area and home visits in the villages, and one week at Pro-Uganda, a German NGO that specialises in providing prostheses for people with amputations.
