Association, Meet the association
Foundation
When we arrived in Uganda for the first time in 2018, we quickly realised that physiotherapy services are not available everywhere in Uganda. The inhabitants of small villages in particular, who are far away from the nearest physiotherapy facilities, have difficulties accessing physiotherapy treatments as they often lack the financial resources to pay for the travelling to a larger city. These people are self-sufficient and live from one day to the next.
With the foundation of our non-profit organisation in 2021, we are committed to promoting physiotherapy care in the small villages of the Jinja region. Our aim is to reduce this gap in local healthcare provision.

Targets and how we achieve them
The purpose of our organisation is to promote barrier-free and high-quality rehabilitation care for people with mobility impairments in Uganda. Our primary goal is to support physiotherapy in Uganda, whereby we place particular emphasis on educating the population about the effects and implementation of physiotherapy.
